I love the red witch hats. Who said they had to be black??
Fun old cards! I don't believe I have ever seen a Halloween card before. I certainly have never sent one. Today I helped Cherry prepare for her Halloween dinner tonight. 8 friendly ghosts sitting around her table! + one tiny one!! I got a cuddle of Scout today too!

Australia produces the neatest wild flowers! I just love the little yellow tips. They look like fibre optics with little lights at the tips. The gum nut babies wear them as skirts and caps!! I'm sure the fairies have a special use for them too!

It's funny how kids love it when you go away, because they KNOW you will bring them some gifts back...like having more than one birthday or Christmas in a year. My grandkids are the same. Oscar's daddy is here in Australia for less than a week....for his grandmothers funeral and a quick catch up with family and the mentor office. Oscar thinks his daddy is bringing him home a teddy! I had told Oscar last time I was with him, that I would make him a teddy sometime. So I guess if my grandson expects me to produce a teddy...I had better do it. Its taken me 2 whole days to make a teddy out of a kangaroo hide! Why oh why did I choose leather to sew with??...its such tough stuff. But its SO soft and he has turned out cute!

"If My Life Was a Soundtrack".....what would the music be? I often think of this question since reading it on 'chickadoodle' a few weeks ago. This morning in my wonderfully green back yard my heart sang: I see trees of green Red roses too I see them bloom For me and you And I think to myself What a wonderful world. I see skies of blue And clouds of white The bright blessed day The dark sacred night And I think to myself What a wonderful world. The colors of the rainbow So pretty in the sky Are also on the faces of people going by I see friends shaking hands Saying:"How do you do?" They're really saying "I love you" I hear babies crying I watch them grow They'll learn much more Than I'll ever know And I think to myself What a wonderful world. Yes And I think to myself What a wonderful world. Oh Yeah.
Of course in my head, this sings in a deep Louis voice!!
So this is part of the soundtrack of my life. Actually a few years ago, i was given a little mp3 player and I put songs there that made my heart sing, that lifted my spirits and helped me to step lightly on the earth. So often on a cd there is only one song that I really like, so it makes sense to compile all the songs/music that comprise the sound track of my life, on to one cd!! Its ideas like this that drive me to learn more how to use this modern technology that I have at my finger tips. I used to have kids here to help me do anything other than 'switch on', but alass.....they have flown the coop.

It has been so interesting reading about the history behind the superstition of Friday 13th being bad luck. There was one time in history when it was good luck to be married on Friday 13th!! My parents were married on Friday 13th October 1938 and after all...they had me!! so there must have been some good in it!! That was 68 years ago....and NO.....I am not 68!!
I stayed home all day....so I wouldn't have a car accident and end up in hospital? no, so I could get some work done. We had a party for two in the spa tonight to celebrate. I don't know....do we have to know what we are celebrating? there will not be another Friday 13th in October until 2017. I dont think my mom will live to see it. So I guess I was celebrating her surviving 68 years since being married on Friday 13th.
