French Lighthouses

I had lots of neat lighthouses on my list of places to visit, and I didnt see any of them...but I'm glad for the ones I did get to see. There is only one that we went looking for...the others just happened along.
this little red hatted lighthouse is in the Honfleur harbour.
Le Hague at the 'top' of France was a destination.
This unusual lighthouse is in the main street of La Rochelle
this one is in the harbour of La Rochelle Cancale lighthouse.

World travellers

Scout and her parents have zoomed off to America for 6 wks....the little jet setter!

Not much hair to hang on to!
Wow that leaves just ma and pa at home on their own. . . All our kids are overseas!

Blood Moon

We had a lunar eclipse on the full moon in Aug. Wish I would have seen it. This a a pretty neat multiple exposure over the carrillion on Lake Burley Griffen in Canberra.
"It's rare, but not as a rare as blue moon.''

Scout turns ONE

"That's MY birthday cake!!" (its a birdie in case you cant tell!) my first taste of cake is SO yummy!

a swing is pretty exciting too.

..my favorite things....

We did a weeks road trip in Normandy France. There were 9 of us in 2 cars....we DID have fun.
one place we stayed in had fantastic gardens - thus the Japanese bridge.
I loved Monet's gardens at Giverny - inspiration for his paintings.

painted flower - don't you think God had fun creating all the different flowers??
cock a doodle do!!!
My very fav is Mont-Saint-Michel.
one of the neat places we stayed... I found a few light houses along the way!!

The American War Memorial and Cemetary was pretty impressive.

Cycling in France

Cycling in France is such a fun experience. There were 13 of us cycling - our guide took the picture. IF you want to see us, more than just our knees! you can click on the photo to make it bigger.
The Charente River was beautiful and varied.
