Bike Ride

When I said I needed to start doing some longer rides in preparation for our France biking trip in Aug. I anticipated starting off with 30 to 40 kms. This one was 56 kms. By 40ks I had had enough...but its good to push thru whats comfortable and win!!
We rode from Homebush Bay to Botany Bay and back. As you can see a sunny-bluesky day! Being at Brighton leSands was like being in another city, or even another country! I had never been there before...lots of Greek restuarants so likely lots of Greeks. We shared a seafood platter 3 ways with our friend Julian who came with us. Delicious!! Botany Bay is right next to the airport and has a runway out into the middle of it. If you make this pic bigger you can see an airplane just about to land.

The spa tonight was very welcome....its a feel good day!

I love the smell of gum leaves! Mr. P and I took our bikes to Canberra where we rode around the lake that is placed in the middle of town. 26kms Coffee spots are hard to come by in Canberra ~ so this was a lucky find.

HEY!!! THIS IS MY 200th POST!!

Today was my Scout play day. we had fun at the ball room. this is taken in mid jump so the top of her head is not really missing! she latched onto the resident orange dinosaur as her 'friend'!! These feet were made for walking...and today they walked on the beach!

...and so did these tiny litte Havianas!!

7 weeks

4 little grandies. Its been delightful to have them all here together. So fun to see the boys having fun with their little cousin, and Scout loving the boys! For now the boys have returned to their life in London....but they will be back!! They are looking forward to seeing their dog, their dad and their friends!
My house is so quiet without them.... :`/
